Growth Kitchen brands offer efficient operations and the advantage of well-established brand recognition

The Athenian: delivery as the street food of the new age.

Overview

Tim Vasilakis, Founder and CEO of The Athenian has always loved street market food concepts where you can eat food from all over the world at a good price, but noticed a lack of representation of Greek cuisine. Seeing delivery as the street food of the new age, delivery has always been a big part of their growth process. The brand has been optimised for delivery across all areas with low food costs and simple operations. Ideal Host Kitchen

The simplicity and authenticity of the menu has always been very well catered for delivery and The Athenian had a proven model, with high-delivery volumes. They wanted to continue to build out their delivery footprint to meet demand. They were looking for an independent partner that is as professional and ambitious as they are, who they could rely on consistently without operational issues. Someone who can help them take the brand to the next level. Hosts need fryers, griddles, saladette, bain-marie and some fridge and freezer space. The brand works well in smaller areas as well as in larger towns and cities. The menu can be amended to cater for a halal audience.

“The Athenian added thousands of pounds of weekly sales to over ten of our locations. It all operates very well with great in-house support.”

The cult status London fried chicken brand: Coqfighter

Overview

Born out of frustration at the lack of high quality fried chicken options in London, Coqfighter began as a night for friends at Troy, Tristan and Deacon’s apartment in South London. Having spent the beginning of the decade living in Melbourne, they’d enjoyed many hot summer nights eating plates of Korean fried chicken, served with ice cold beers in the city’s bustling Chinatown district. Nights for friends soon became pop-ups in pubs and after a series of successful residencies, Coqfighter opened its first location with Boxpark, and now operates three restaurants and a series of delivery kitchens.

Challenge

Coqfighter has been performing extremely well on delivery platforms. The demand for delivery in new neighbourhoods kept increasing. However, opening traditional brick & mortar locations or even dedicated delivery-kitchens is not economically sustainable below a certain population density level. Coqfighter was looking for a way to serve hungry customers in every corner of the UK efficiently. The brand is popular, simple to cook, and with huge scaling potential. Growth Kitchen partnered with Coqfighter's team to take the brand to the next level and launch it across its network of operators.

Beer + Burger

Overview

Beer + Burger is an independent, family owned and operated business. Born in 2016 in Willesden Green, its first store opened with 300 beer options, served alongside some juicy, messy, double patty burgers. The Burgers are amongst the best ranked in London and demand for delivery is through the roof.

Challenge

Beer + Burger has opened 4 locations since its founding. The team has mastered the art of delivering tasty burgers consistently, with a top 1% burger rating in London. The next question was around how to scale the concept well beyond London while maintaining consistent quality and protect the brand reputation that Beer + Burger has achieved.

Deliver where there’s appetite.
